BC’s opposition rallies the troops

Tub thumping for BC’S NDP leader today from the party faithful.

Cheers greeted Adrian Dix at the Hospital Employees’ Union convention as he reiterated what his party would offer the province.

But he reminded members that in both 2005 and 2009 the NDP lost by 2% swings – “we shouldn’t say that we lost an election by 2% because not enough people came out.”

Dix says that in the last election 1.7 million eligible voters did not vote.

After the speech, he questioned the government’s advertising spending in recent weeks which he said is the Lliberal party asking the people of BC to pay for advertising to promote the Premier.
