Transportation Minister Blair Lekstrom says it makes sense for Translink to delay some expansion plans while it awaits the results of a government-ordered audit.
He said “I think to delay it right now is probably a very prudent decision based on the issue that there’s an audit coming, we are going to do an audit of Translink, we’re gonna work with them to find solutions, so yeah I’m not at all surprised with that decision, but putting them on hold does not mean they’re not moving forward.”
Lekstrom says the audit will determine the best way to pay for those projects
