The president of the BC Teachers’ Federation says the union is considering legal action in response to Bill 22.
Susan Lambert points out the union has won against the government before, in international labour courts, and in supreme court with bills 27 and 28.
“……this bill has the same hallmarks and characteristics of the previous bills that this government has used to bully people into submission.”
Lambert says the BCTF executive is working on a plan to bring to the union’s annual general meeting next weekend that looks at legal options, political options, and the personal choices that members are making.
