Bieber investigation over: BC Liquor Branch

It took more than three months, but an investigation into why an under-age pop star was allowed to party at a Vancouver nightclub is finally over.

Justin Bieber was 18 in October when he was spotted drinking alcohol at ‘Republic’ — the Granville Street bar hosting the after-party for his sold-out concert.

BC’s Liquor Control and Licensing Branch quickly launched an investigation of the club owned by the Donnelly group.

Operators insisted Bieber was seated in an area designated for minors and only drank cranberry juice.

Investigators say they did not find ‘sufficient evidence’ any rules were broken, so no enforcement actions are being contemplated at this time.

It won’t be an issue when Bieber returns.

He turns 19 March 1st.
