Bloy exit allows for minor B.C. cabinet shuffle

B.C. Premier Christy Clark has shuffled the deck.

A week after the resignation of Harry Bloy as minister of state for multiculturalism, the premier has named John Yap to his post.

Yap, MLA for Richmond-Steveston, says the Liberals’ recent decline in the polls doesn’t worry him.

“There’s a lot of press about that issue. We’re focused on working our jobs agenda and ensuring that we get our message out about the free enterprise choice for British Columbians.”

Clark has made several other minor changes: Moira Stillwell will now serve as parliamentary secretary to the minister of health, while Rob Howard becomes parliamentary secretary to the minister of transportation.
