Homicide investigators are probing the discovery of a body on Bowen Island.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound says a man discovered the badly decomposed remains on his property early yesterday afternoon.
“The property has some pretty thick area of bush that the body was located in, and it’s my understanding that there are several acres, I believe about five acres on this property.”
An autopsy will be needed to determine the victim’s gender, age and cause of death.
Pound stresses nothing so far suggests the discovery is linked to any previous crimes on the island.
