People living in a Tsawwassen neighbourhood are heading back home after being evacuated due to a bomb scare.
People in the 1300 block of Farrell Avenue are being allowed to return to their homes after an evacuation order was lifted.
Constable Ciaran Feenan with Delta police describes the device detonated by the RCMP bomb squad.
“We were able to discover it was in kind of a softball like package the EDU unit was able to neutralize that package with a controled explosion and at this point the investigation is ongoing.”
16 to 20 homes had been under an evacuation order since quarter to three this afteroon
