Branson apologizes to Premier Clark

Days after Premier Christy Clark slammed him for being disrespectful, Richard Branson is offering an apology.

On Twitter, the British billionaire says his blog post last week saying Clark should join him for some nude kite-surfing was meant to be a joke.

He goes on to write he’s sorry if anyone took it seriously or thought it was in bad taste.

Earlier this week Clark said she expected more respect from Branson, and noted its those types of comments that keep women from entering politics.

The Premier went on to joke that if that was Branson’s best pick-up line, perhaps that’s why his company is called “Virgin”.

She says she accepts the apology.
