Busy night for police across Metro Vancouver

It’s been a busy night for police across the Lower Mainland.

In Surrey, R.C.M.P. are looking for a suspect, after an apparent hit-and-run at 130th Street and 86th Avenue.

Staff Sergeant Blair McColl says it happened around 8:00pm Saturday.

“There are no suspects at this point. Our traffic units are investigating.”

The victim – a man in his 40s – is said to have very significant injuries.

There is also no vehicle description – other than it’s probably red – and will have front-end damage.

About an hour later, a man was stabbed after a fight at a house party – in the 9400-block of 159th Street.

“He was very quickly taken to a local area hospital and as far as we know, is receiving treatment but in stable condition.”

One man has been arrested.

In Coquitlam, a man is in hospital after a stabbing at the Coquitlam Centre bus loop last night.

Mounties aren’t saying much else.

And in New Westminster, a man has non-life threatening wounds after a stabbing in the 500-block of 3rd Avenue.

No one has been arrested.
