Premier Christy Clark will shuffle her cabinet in Victoria this morning.
Clark’s first order of business is filling the four front bench chairs left empty by Kevin Falcon, George Abbott, Mary McNeil and Blair Lekstrom.
All four are retiring from provincial politics, leaving behind the ministries of Finance, Education, Children and Family Development and Transportation respectively.
And Clark does not have a deep back bench to choose from, with only 15 caucus members currently out of cabinet….and not all of them have confirmed re-election bids.
Clark could always appoint an un-elected cabinet minister, but that hasn’t been done since Ed John under the NDP.
The shuffle takes place at 1030 this morning.
