Premier Christy Clark is proposing a meeting with Alberta Premier Alison Redford to talk about the contentious Northern Gateway Pipeline next week…..or maybe “proposing” is too strong a word.
In an open letter to Redford, clark says she will be in Calgary early next week “…….should you wish to discuss the issue further.”
That “issue” being BC’s list of five demands for supporting Northern Gateway including a “fair share of the fiscal and economic benefits.”
Redford has flat out rejected any share of oil royalties.
Clark’s letter says she has never specified “royalties”, but rather more broadly defined benefits.
