Coquitlam RCMP have got wind of a big house party planned for Friday in the Como Lake Village area.
Constable Michelle Luca says the so-called Project X party won’t be going ahead after over 1000 people were invited via social media.
“Any time you get a large number of people together, you never know what’s going to happen. And that’s our largest concern and that’s why tomorrow evening our plan is to be out there and be the party poopers.”
Police in Langley were prepared for a similar mass party inspired by social media last week, but ultimately nobody showed up.
