Despite speculation the inquest into the deaths of 3 mushroom farm workers may have to be extended a few days, the President of the BC Federation of Labour says testimony will wrap up Tuesday. That’s one day more than was scheduled.
Jim Sinclair was supposed to testify Monday but was pushed back to Tuesday, “The families will be given the opportunity to talk about their experiences, and also what a dramatic impact the deaths have had on their families and the brain injuries have had on their families.”
The jury will then come up with recommendations to prevent similar tragedies.
3 men were killed and two others suffered severe brain damage when they were overcome by toxic gas in 2008.
