Four people are unaccounted for after a landslide in the tiny community of Johnsons Landing on Kootenay Lake.
The slide came down late this morning, hitting three homes in the remote community about 70 kilometres north of Nelson.
Bill MacPherson speaks for the Central Kootenay Regional District.
“Four residents are unaccounted for. It’s trying to be determined if they were out of their home or whether they were in the home which was impacted.”
Search and rescue teams from Nelson and Kaslo are at the scene.
An RCMP helicopter has also been called out.
