DJ at the centre of MILF question controversy speaks out

The DJ who asked the Premier about being a MILF in December and was let go from his Courtney station yesterday is finally speaking out.

Speaking on CKNW’s Simi Sara show Justin ‘Drex’ Wilcombes explained what he would have said if his former employer had given him the opportunity to speak instead of muzzling him after the incident.

“I would have apologized to the Premier. There was no offense ever meant to the premier or the office of the Premier.  It was just meant to be light hearted and a little bit of fun.  That’s all it was it was never meant to be blown out of proportion which it was.

Wilcombes says he doesn’t think he asked anything wrong – adding that it was appropriate for the station he was on.

He’s now picking up some shifts on CKNW’s sister station the Fox.
