BC Health officials say people who take certain narcotics should not worry though the drugs are scarce.
A manufacturing plant in Quebec for Sandoz Canada is out of operation and not producing some injectable narcotics such as morphine.
Deborah Dunn-Roy is with Health Shared Services BC, which aims to improve what goes on across the six health authorities.
She says staff are re-allocating drugs from across BC to where people need them the most, “We are also able to put in emergency orders so that if our stocks get critically low, we do get an emergency top up.”
She adds authorities are looking for alternate suppliers, including those in the U-S.
