Duke Point ferry terminal is inching closer to being repaired, but it likely won’t re-open for at least another month.
BC Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall says crews are taking advantage of the temporary closure to perform upgrades.
“We will be doing some housekeeping work. I know they are installing some new carpeting in the passenger waiting areas, but really we are just concentrating on fixing the berthing structure and the apron.”
The ferry involved in the December hard landing, Coastal Inspiration, has since been repaired and returned to service.
