Excessive speed may have played a role in a deadly crash in Surrey last night.
Mounties say an SUV was turning left from 80th Avenue onto 176th Street when it went out of control and crashed into a ditch.
The driver – a 39-year-old man from Maple Ridge – died at the scene.
His passenger – a 29-year-old Surrey woman – is in critical condition.
