Ferry Disruptions Today

There will be more B-C Ferry disruptions today thanks to a damaged propeller blade on the “Spirit of B-C.”

B-C Ferries spokesperson Deborah Marshall says the vessel will be pulled out of today’s rotation for two round trips.

The 3 and 7 p.m. sailings out of Tsawwassen will be cancelled and the corresponding 5 and 9 p.m. sailings out of Swartz Bay.

An additional round trip sailing at 8 p.m. from Tsawwassen and 10 p.m. from Swartz Bay will be added using the Queen of New Westminster.

Divers will repair the damaged propeller blade.

The job will take about 15 hours.

There was also a problematic electronic component in the engine of the “Coastal Celebration’ causing it to run behind schedule on Monday.
