Film/TV take issues to their MLA

People in the film and TV industry are taking their concerns over jobs leaving BC to local MLA’s.

Health Minister and Vancouver-Fairview MLA Margaret MacDiarmid says she met with a group in her riding this week, “They were talking about the same things that others of their colleagues have been taking about. They are concerned about the industry and is it possible for the Government to provide more support than is currently there. They are worried about their jobs and the sustainability of the industry.”

MacDiarmid says the Provincial Tax Credit policy was a focus, but she told the group, so is balancing the budget.

She says she will take the concerns she heard to the Minister responsible, Bill Bennett, and to the Minister of Finance, Mike de Jong,  as well.
