Financial stats issued by Translink

Translink has half the amount of senior executives it had in 2009, according to its 2011 financial statements, but it’s paying 21 percent more in salaries.

CEO Ian Jarvis says that increase is a result of an influx of new workers, “We transferred the Information Technology function from Coast Mountain Bus Company to Translink, so there’s over 100 employees that were at Coast Mountain Bus Company that were transferred into Translink in 2011.”

Ridership is up 6.6 percent and fare revenue brought in five percent more than last year.
