A flagger in Delta was hit by a car on Centre Street and River Road Sunday evening.
Delta Police Sgt. Sharlene Brooks says alcohol was a factor.
She says the flag person is expected to be okay.
“She was transported to hospital, treated and released. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was taken into custody by police.”
The vehicle was travelling at a low speed through the construction zone.
