Premier Christy Clark may soon have a tough decision to make, as she rounds up nominees for the upcoming provincial election.
Former mayor Sam Sullivan is seeking the Liberal nomination for the same riding a longtime Clark supporter wants.
Sullivan says he’s already spoken with former MLA Lorne Mayencourt.
“I actually have a lot of respect for Lorne, as well. We’ve actually had some good communication about that and our mutual respect. We both believe this will be good for the party.”
But he’s been careful not to suggest the Premier asked him to run in Vancouver-False Creek.
“I had a very good conversation with the Premier. She certainly was very open. It really is my admiration for her –is part of the reason that I am putting myself forward.”
Mayencourt has yet to confirm he’ll also seek the nomination.
