Four people have been taken to hospital–all with non-life threatening injuries– after two boats collided east of Westham Island in the Ladner area late Sunday night.
One man was taken away by police for a breathalyzer test.
Darren Morley is with the Coast Guard.
“We got a call from Delta Police last evening just before 11:00 about a possible boating accident in the Ladner area which turned out to be two vessels which had collided together–one had multiple people aboard.”
Morley says the people were brought to shore by the Coast Guard hovercraft, and Coast Guard volunteers.
BC Ambulance, Delta Police, and Fire were also on-scene.
It’s not known how the boats collided.
