Frank talk by Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini – not about his hockey team as it struggles to stay alive in the Stanley Cup playoffs, but about his personal life.
“I think the toughest lesson I mean for me is the balance between family life and my career. You know I’m going through a divorce and you know I look back and I look at all the mistakes and all of the things I could have changed and I should have done and you know you kind of get carried away with, you know once you have a hammer everything’s a nail and you’re doing well in business and you just keep going and just like a train. And then what happens is you start forgetting about everything else and making that balance is so hard and you know being successful you know being successful in your family life and being successful in your business life is, you know I think I think I should have tried a little harder. YOU PAY A PRICE? Yah”.
Aquilini has previously said the divorce will not have any effect on the hockey team.
He was speaking with CKNW’s Bill Good on “The Chief Executives” series.
