Gaming Association seeks more grant money

The BC Association for Charitable Gaming is continuing it’s fight to restore peak levels for gaming grants.

Funding is down more than 20-million dollars from the same time three years ago, however the Province has vowed to keep levels consistent for at least the next two years.

President Peter Armstrong says a recent meeting with the government didn’t end with solid results, “We believe that we’ve opened up a line of communication and we’re going to try and keep that line of communication open. We are going to look at whatever options might be open to us.”

Armstrong hints at political involvement in next spring’s election.

The Association represents more than 6-thousand organizations across BC.
