GRAPHIC CONTENT: Sentencing in Whistler sled dog massacre

Tears and gasps of horror at  the sentencing in the case of the Whistler sled dog massacre today.

The crown lawyer, her own hands shaking at times, laid out a story of declining revenues leading to the killings of the sled dogs at the Whistler tourism company.

Bob Fawcett, who has pleaded guilty to charges, sat motionless as the crown described scenes of horror.

A packed courtroom heard about sled dogs crazy with panic and screaming in fear, some with half their heads blown off, trying to get away.

Some in the courtroom cried openly, at one point a woman yelled out “…you could have stopped it any time”–that resulted in the judge issuing a warning.
