One man has plead guilty to manslaughter after another was badly beaten last spring at in Hope.
Police arrived at the Thunderbird Motel last May to find 67-year-old Kenneth Paquette suffering from extensive injuries. He died hours later in hospital.
43-year-old Richard Vallee was arrested the same day and charged with second-degree murder, “It’s our understanding the Kenneth Paquette and Mr. Vallee had an altercation. Mr. Paquette was assaulted.”
Sgt. Jennifer Pound with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says Vallee has plead guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
He awaits his sentencing hearing in April.
