Those who want to speak their mind over a controversial casino proposal for South Surrey will have to wait until January.
City of Surrey staff are delaying the hearings on the gaming application until January 14th as they take additional time to review public feedback and impact studies.
Staff will also be looking at comments from the Semiahmoo First Nation and surrounding municipalities.
The application itself was supposed to be considered Monday but has been rescheduled for December 10th.
Surrey residents have spoken out against a casino, stating concerns over crime increases and money laundering in their community.
Those who want to speak at the public hearing will be required to give their name and address for public records.
