Horgan apologizes for “wine” comment

NDP house leader John Horgan is apologizing to Liberal MLA Kevin Krueger for suggesting the backbencher had too much wine for breakfast.

Horgan made the comment during a raucous debate in the Legislature this morning.

“I regret that comment very much.   What I regret more than that however is his behaviour…..I mean he yelled at me for five minutes….we were having a discussion in private members’ time about the ability for us to agree to disagree and he yelled at me for five minutes.” 

Horgan is also apologizing to deputy speaker Linda Reid for criticizing her handling of that debate….meanwhile Krueger is calling Horgan an “angry man”.
