The winners of an online contest aimed at the future of affordable housing in the City of Vancouver have been announced.
The Re:think Contest say more than 70 entries were received from all over the world.
Councillor Geoff Meggs says the ideas range from re-designing city streets to building on top of existing structures, “Whether or not certain cross-streets in residential neighbourhoods could be redesigned to generate an extra lot at the end of the block. This would be a regular city lot, that could be developed with infill housing or even row housing.”
The winning entries will be included in the Mayor’s Task Force on Housing
