14-thousand-dollars is being spent on a poster campaign as Vancouver Police search for more suspected Stanley Cup rioters.
The Vancouver Police Foundation is funding the cost of the 70-thousand posters that will be handed out across Greater Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
340 volulnteers and 70 police officers are involved in the effort that started at 11 this morning and wraps up at 11 tonight.
Police Chief Jim Chu:
“…….the crime spree that we saw on June 15th was a very public event and this is our public way of showing that we are relentless we are looking for as many of the rioters as possible we want to hold them accountable and bring them before the courts to face justice.”
Meanwhile crown has approved six more charges against three suspected rioters bringing the total to 177 criminal charges aganist 67 suspected rioters.
