The BC Conservative party have acclaimed their candidate in the riding of Chilliwack Hope which will go to a by-election this year.
University of Fraser Valley Criminologist John Martin was the only candidate to file his papers and he is now officially on the ballot.
Martin says he will win voter support by opposing the treatment of people in the riding by the provincial government.
He says “BC Hydro go up medical premiums go up ICBC goes up Carbon Tax that goes up there is just no end to this nickel and diming and thats really the big issue we have a tax and spend government that just treats people like their own personal 24 hour ATM machine.”
The NDP will choose their candidate this Saturday and the BC Liberals on February 4th.
