Emergency crews are dealing with a huge explosion that’s happened at a saw mill near Burns Lake — while people were working inside.
RCMP say they were called around 8:15 p.m. to the Babine Forest Service Mill after reports of the blast.
Constable Leslie Smith says an unknown number of mill workers were on shift at the time.
“We don’t know this time how many are injured but we do have a number of emergency crews on site including ambulance and fire.”
Smith adds details could change quickly as the situation unfolds.
She says additional emergency responders have been called from neighbouring detachments.
