A charge has been laid in a murder in Langley on New Year’s eve.
Police were called out to a home in the Willowbrook area of Langley Monday morning after reports of gunfire.
There, they found an injured man who soon died.
Shortly after, police arrested a man near the Greater Vancouver Zoo after a short chase.
Now charged with second-degree murder is 24 year old Jason Terrence Brewer.
The murder victim has been identified as Cole Adam Manning, a 40-year-old man from Cloverdale.
Homicide investigators say the two were “friends,” that the death was not gang-related.
They continue to investigate.
