A man–around 50 years old–is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Abbotsford last night.
Police Sgt. Lance Marchand,
“At approximately 8:42 Abbotsford police responded to a pedestrian struck motor vehicle accident at Highway 11 and Harris Road. On attendance, police determined that the pedestrian was a fatality.”
Marchand says police are investigating a report the man was in the roadway.
He could not comment on whether the driver or the victim are known to police.
He could also not comment on whether it looks like speed or alcohol were factors.
The driver is not in custody.
