It took four and a half hours in heavy rain and wind, but search crews found an overdue boater off Point Roberts early Monday morning.
His twenty foot motorboat broke down on a trip across Boundary Bay to Crescent Beach. His wife called for help at 9 PM.
A Cormorant Search and Rescue helicopter from CFB Comox eventually spotted him and the Coast Guard Hovercraft rescued him at 1:30 Monday morning.
Other than mild hypothermia, the man was okay.
