Mayencourt may return

A former MLA hinted he may make a political return, when he showed up at the nomination meeting for Dennis Marsden in Port Moody.

Lorne Mayencourt admitted while he likes Marsden as a candidate, the BC Liberals are in for a fight.

“Well it is going to be tough. Any by-election is going to be tough for a sitting government.”

When asked if he is considering another run in provincial politics, Mayencourt said…

“I might”

Mayencourt says he doesn’t know when he’ll make that decision.

He even sounded like he was back in the game with this barb at the NDP’s candidate in Port Moody Coquitlam.

“I think they have a real chance against Joe Trasolini you know I could have come down here on the Skytrain if Joe hadn’t been in the way of the Evergreen Line.”

Mayencourt won two terms in Vancouver-Burrard before leaving BC politics to try a run as a federal Conservative…he lost to Hedy Fry in 2008.
