Michael Raffety guilty on all charges

The jury in the Rafferty murder trial has found Michael Rafferty guilty of abduction, rape, and 1st degree murder of 8-year-old Tori Stafford.

Jurors delivered the verdict only a day after deliberations began. The conviction gives Rafferty an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.

Rafferty pleaded not guilty, leading to a 10-week trial which revealed gruesome details of the girl’s death.

Teri-Lynne McLintic has already been convicted of the girl’s murder.

Sentencing for Stafford will be Tuesday. That’s when Stafford’s family and friends will deliver their victim impact statements.
