Minor hockey coach facing two counts of assault

A minor hockey coach who allegedly tripped a 13 year old player early this summer — is now facing charges.

Martin Joseph George Tremblay is facing two counts of assault and is set to be back in Richmond Provincial Court in a few days.

Tremblay is the coach of the UBC Hornets.

In a video shot by a parent, Tremblay can be seen during the hand-shake after a game at UBC’s Thunderbird Arena.

He sticks out his foot, and one player falls, bringing a second one down as well.

One of the players broke his wrist.

Tremblay is scheduled to be in court September 13th.
