Missing woman found near Pitt Lake

A 25-year old woman’s back with her family after spending the night, and most of the morning, alone in the woods near Pitt Lake.

RCMP Sgt. Dale Somerville says she was with a group, but got lost while answering the call of nature.

“One of the biggest issues was that when she left the group she was in swimwear. and so exposure to elements was one of our biggest concerns.”

A civilian helicopter pilot spotted her around 11am.

She’d used her hoodie and a stick to make a flag.

No serious injuries, just some bumps and bruises.
