Local Liberal MLA John Les has joined the fight against a demand by the Fraser Health Authority that the City of Chilliwack chlorinate its water supply.He says it comes in the wake of three very minor incidents, now fully addressed, related to small reservoirs in outlying areas and there were no adverse affects.
Les is blunt at the health authority request, saying “…..If this isn’t the epitome of lunacy, I don’t know what is.”
He urges residents to support the city of Chilliwack’s opposition to this, and says “hopefuly a reasonable solution can be found that doesn’t involve polluting Chilliwack’s domestic water supply.”
