North Shore Search and Rescue crews have called-off their efforts, after police got a 9-1-1 call from a woman on Mount Seymour Friday afternoon.
Police say the woman sounded distressed, and the call was cut-off almost instantly.
Search leader Tim Jones is blaming a sudden lightning storm for the panic.
“I think coupled with that and where she was, she made the panicked phone call… and I think just as quickly as the storm came in, it started to clear very quickly up here, and I think she was able to get out.”
Police are still hoping the woman gives them a call, just to make sure she’s alright.
