Coquitlam Mounties say they’re ready to play the role of party poopers after a plan to host a major party spread online.
Inspired by the movie Project X, and fuelled by social media, a massive house party planned for the Como Lake Village area has police prepared to shut it down before it even starts.
“We have extra patrols in the area. We will be out there to ensure this party does not happen to stop any incidents from happening tomorrow night in Coquitlam,” says Const. Michelle Luca.
More than 1,000 invites were sent out via social media, and the RCMP says the unpredictability of the situation prompted them to step in.
