Mounties bust major grow-up in Prince George

Mounties say they have seized $ 1.5 million dollars worth of pot from a grow-op in Prince George.

Just a few days before Christmas, Mounties say the North District’s integrated marijuana enforcement team executed a search warrant about electricity theft at a home.

They say they found a grow-op with about 1,500 pot plants in various stages of growth.

Those were seized, as well as some drug equipment and evidence related to theft of electricity.

Police say a hydro bypass had live wires protruding from it, making it extremely dangerous.

Three men, ages 36 to 59 from Prince George and Smithers, face charges of possession, production and electricity theft.

They are set to appear in court in April.
