Mounties find drug suspects hidden in home’s walls

Three men tried hide from the RCMP up in Quesnel, but it was no use.
RCMP say officers attended a rural home this week and found a massive marijuana grow-op.
About 2,500 plants worth several millions on the street.
No one appeared to be inside, but a search – with a police dog – indicated no one had left the building.
The mounties shortly discovered three men hiding in the walls.

“We do have cases in the Lower Mainland where there are booby traps at marijuana grow-operations. This is the first of my knowledge that we’ve had individuals hiding in a residence behind walls.”

Constable Lesley Smith says it’s yet another case of organized crime from the lower mainland coming up north to buy cheap and isolated property for grow-ops.
The men – all in their thirties – were arrested.
