Multi-vehicle incident and no injuries reported

Poor road conditions are being blamed for a major traffic incident in the Chilliwack area.

Highway One is closed in both directions. Eastbound at Annis Road and westbound at Highway 9.

A semi ‘B’ train flipped onto it’s roof spilling a load of lumber

A fire engine attending that situation was rear-ended by a passenger van.

No injuries have been reported from the scene.

Police say it will take several hours to clear the roadway because heavy-duty tow trucks must be used to remove the trucks. Other machinery is needed to pick up the lumber.

RCMP say they hope to open the highway in time for the morning commute.
