A new case for the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, this time in Langley.
The crime scene is a home on a quiet stretch of 200th Street, near 20th Avenue.
IHIT Corporal Adam Macintosh says Mounties were called to the home to check on the well-being of a resident.
When police arrived shortly after 10pm, they found a man’s body — and a marijuana grow operation.
“Sometimes right on the face of things it can appear that this was a grow rip or something to that effect. however, we always remain open until we can confirm one way or the other. So, at this time the motive isn’t clear.”
Investigators are not identifying the victim.
No one is in custody.
