NDP doing well in latest poll

If an election were held tomorrow, one pollster is predicting we would see NDP MLA’s in ridings they’ve never held.

Angus Reid pollster Mario Canseco says the NDP has 35-percent support in BC’s Interior.

But that may be enough to win them ridings.

With the BC Liberals around 25-percent and the  BC Conservatives at 27-percent together, they have a majority.

But Canseco says its an advantage for the BC NDP.

“We have a lot of voters in the southern interior as an option…that vote splitting, especially in the southern interior, may allow some BC NDP candidates to win seats.”

NDP support in the region hasn’t changed since 2009.
