In the last year, two women have plunged to their deaths from the downtown east-side’s Regent Hotel.
Now, a long-time friend of one of those women is presenting a petition to Vancouver City Council advocating for action she says may prevent another death.
Sharon Hall-Rapa knew Verna Simard for eight years. Simard died September 16th after falling from a 6th-floor window of the hotel.
